“Come join LexCAN and the Town for the upcoming LexElectrify Energy Fair on Saturday, October 28, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Lexington High School (251 Waltham St., Lexington, MA). At the Energy Fair, you can learn what steps you can take to reduce your carbon footprint by transitioning away from fossil fuels. You’ll have the opportunity to see demonstrations of electric home appliances, get behind the wheel of an electric vehicle at the EV Showcase, schedule a free home energy assessment, meet heat pump and solar installers, learn about financial incentives and support, and so much more. Bring your kids for fun, engaging, and educational activities!
The Energy Fair will support our LexElectrify campaign, a community-wide effort to empower homeowners, renters, and businesses to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from the building and transportation sectors. Achieving this goal will require electrifying existing systems to eliminate the use of fossil fuels, while simultaneously transitioning to renewable energy to ensure these systems are powered by electricity sourced from 100% renewable energy. A central focus is educating residents about the available programs, incentives, and other resources that can help them move toward home electrification and improved energy efficiency. Reaching low-income and fixed-income residents, renters, and those with limited English proficiency is also an important focus.”
